What is turmeric?
Turmeric, sometimes called Indian saffron or the golden spice, is a tall plant that grows in Asia and Central America.
The antioxidant effect of turmeric appears to be so powerful in reducing inflammation and other health conditions.
But Why Ginger?
Ginger is grown as a root and is a flexible ingredient that can be consumed in drinks or in cooking. It can be used to make foods spicy and even as a food preservative. For over 2000 years, Chinese medicine has recommended the use of ginger to help cure and prevent several health problems. It is known to promote energy circulation in the body and increase our body’s metabolic rate.
This is truly the ultimate cold and flu tonic. Combining vitamin C-rich citrus with immune boosting herbs and nutrients makes this a powerful option.
Ingredients are simple enough: turmeric root, ginger, orange and lemon.
Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh ginger root or 1 Tbsp dried
¼ cup fresh turmeric root or 1 Tbsp dried 1orange, peeled
1 lemon,peeled
1/2 cup water as needed
Place all ingredients through your juicer. If using dry spices, juice the citrus and then add to a blender with ½ cup water and blend until smooth.
Usage
Drink 1/2- 1 cup every 2-4 hours for best results.
*Best stored in refrigerator 4-7 with plastic lid to prevet oxidation.*
